I want you to be aware that I am a large woman. I just don't want to mislead anyone as to my weight. I've been chubby all my life but it never stopped three men from proposing to me! I am 60 years old, a widow, and will probably retire in 3 or 4 years. I live in my own home alone--except for a 15 year old cat who is very self-sufficient! As for my personality, I'm the one in the office that everyone runs to as "mother" when they have personal problems. I love helping people, especially finding them jobs to make their lives better. I've helped 3 people during the last year. I have to admit arthritis does slow me down a little, but it wouldn't stop me from going on a cruise or a weekend stay at the beach. I can't keep up with athletic people on the tennis court very well....but I'm very good at hugging--(and other enjoyable activities!). I'm not highly religious, but I do believe in God and His Love for us. God is in all religions as far as I can tell. Just so you know, I'm an honest, hard working (over 40 years), devoted woman who has been a widow for quite some time. I have one son, recently married, and we have always loved each other dearly. I have been told I communicate well with others, that I'm a good listener, and, yes, I do like to laugh, but who doesn't? I feel I am open-minded and far from being a "prude" as they say. If your instincts tell you to take a chance in developing a new friend (and see what happens from there), I'll be waiting. But if you need an active person to adventure to far off places with you, then you might want to reconsider since I'm still working full time and dealing with arthritis that slows me down. Since I still need to work, I only have weekends free. If you like dock fishing, we have great public docks in our town and also Lake Louisa State Park which is beautiful. If you ever come to Orlando, our state office building complex has a cafeteria and maybe we could meet for coffee? I'm a homebody by nature...but computer literate and adventure via the internet -- always learning and curious!
